Well this is embarrassing but I have a phobia and my phobia is of any medication that makes me out of it or drugged feeling, like out of control. So I am scared to get an endoscopy. I've never been put to sleep much less anything else.. the most I've had was morphine once... so how drugged are you for the endoscopy? If I feel drugged I will panic, (they gave me benedryl once in the hospital, a massive dose, and I freaked! that is why they gave me the morphine to calm me down) So I will panic unless they 100% knock me out. If there is even a chance I will be awake or conscious I will freak. I know I sound like an idiot but phobia's aren't all that controllable...go easy on me!
