I felt exactly the same way. Never had been knocked out and had no desire to, but also wanted to find out what was wrong with me. I finally had the endo done. It's not a horrible procedure. They gave me two different things, the first made me dizzy and sleepy, the second gave me temporary memory loss. I remember very little from the whole thing and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought.
It's up to you of if you want to undergo the procedure, but for me, it came down to really wanting to know what was wrong with me.
