Hi April,
Take the meds. I had reflux so bad I had food regurgitating into my mouth and 27/7 acid taste that did not finally go away until I took Prevacid twice daily. These drugs are safe and have very few side effects. I am very paranoid about drug side effects and they are not even bothering me. It is hard to get over the idea of taking medicine every single day, but diabetics do it. My sister has thyroid disease and she takes her daily pill. If you do not have insurance that is quite another story because these drugs are outrageously expensive. Also whenever I eat the wrong thing (still have to watch what I eat on the drugs) and get heartburn it seems like I am more anxious as well. Hang in there!!
