Karen, The drink, I had two large cups and an hour to drink it all - at room temp! Held my nose and did it in a Half hour. I was at the ER - they thought I had appendicitis. During the test they also injected a dye for additional illumination during a second timed test. If I remember right it was to see how this dye is distributed to the stomach,colon, etc. Only side effect I had at all was the gusher on the toilet when I got home.
Good Luck - it is nowhere near as difficult as the colonosopy I had done - that drink packed a real punch!
