Thanks for the reply. I am on Zyrtec and have tried claritin, allegra etc. I am calling my pcp today to beg for a referral to an allergist. I have been telling her for the last 5 years I think it's allergy related and she just looked at me like I had five heads. Finally in the spring of 02' she referred me to another gastro who had actually heard of this before. She has me on the cimetidine because it is a histamine blocker and the Zyrtec. I have a constant sore throat. Feeling a cold heat in my chest like I put on bengay. Have lots of post nasal drip. Starts every year in March/April then goes away then starts again in Sept and last 2-3 months then goes away. Doctors have thought I was crazy. It's destroying my life. I am in such pain that I have no patients with my kids and my husband. I try to deal the best I can. Seems like when I am drinking or eating the pain stops then comes back immediatly after so I drink LOTS of water. Nothing seems to make it worse or better. What do you think?????
