Re: Doctor's opinion on time-frame and approach

I should make clear first of all that I am not much an herbalist, and many of you probably are better educated than I am in areas of alternative medicine.

As my cheif reference on dietary matters I use Andrew Weil, MD, who teaches at the University of Arizona School of Medicine. He is much more knowledgeable than me, and I like his common sense approach to dietary issues.

Getting back to your post - I am having trouble identifying exactly what the treatment goals are at the present time. Your reflux evidently was a problem at one time, and is not now. The other symptoms you list seem too non-specific for me to form any definite opinions - eg. is the abnormal appetite abnormally good (excessive) or poor? If its poor appetite, especially with weight loss, then we have a little more definite problem to address.

Bloating is just as often from the gallbladder as any where else, so I would give that a thought.

At this stage, juggling meds would seem like taking random chances of hoping to hit upon a combination that makes you feel better, and I can't say that I see a solid direction to pursue yet.
