Is bile reflux as common as acid reflux? If there is evidence of bile found during an endoscopy, what should the next move be? I read that some post fundoplication patient's recurrent symptoms are caused by bile. Wouldn't the fundoplication be just as effective for bile as acid reflux? Finally, do you still do fundoplication for people who have not initally had any luck with meds if all other tests still indicate severe gerd? thanks
