I am not certain that the symptoms you describe are caused by the reflux disease. It certainly is possible that they are entirely unrelated. On the other hand, increased physical exertion leads to more reflux of gastric contents into the esophagus. This can cause chest pain, anxiety, and weakness. The treatment for this is to control the reflux disease with anti-acid medication and to decrease some of the physical activities that increase at abdominal pressure.
