Prior to erosions does not necessarily lead to Barrett's and esophagus. Considering the difficulty that you had, you reasonable to perform a per endoscopy as frequently as every one or two years. Once Barrett's esophagus is diagnosed, endoscopy should be done every six months with four quadrant biopsies every 2 centimeters through the abnormal esophagus. If dysplasia is diagnosed, endoscopy should be done more frequently. As an aside, Propulsid has been discontinued secondary to adverse cardiac effects. Your doctor will need to put you on a new prokinetic agent.
