I am a little confused. Several times I have noticed doctors saying those people who do best with fundoplication are those who intially responded well to medications. Can you tell me why? If a person has never responded to any of the meds, but still tests positively for acid reflux through endoscopty, 24 hr ph etc, are they not still a very good candidate for surgery? thanks
