I am a 44 year old female with GERD diagnosed 3 years ago. I have progressed to Prilosec about 7 months ago (20 mg once day). Although the Prilosec initially helped I have more recently experienced wheezing and burning and tightness in my chest(no previous history). My GP confirmed that these symptoms are likely due to the GERD and my Prilosec was doubled and Metoclopramide was added with little effect. As I contemplate the option of surgery, would it be advisible to repeat endoscopy? Last one was 1.5 years ago with no cellular involvement.
