i had wrap 6/99. heartburn came on week later. barium swallow showed significant reflux and a partial defect of the wrap w/ spontaneous gastre.reflux to the mid thoric esopagus. 24 h4 ph showed little reflux, doc said he,s going by ph test. with barium swall. i had horrible gerd w/ ph test my gerd was mild. all this was done after wraop. its been almost a year since surgery and im nowhere, going crazy and not a happy camper. doc says we'll get there!! just had endos. which showed wrap ok but i have chronic gastritis, what is this and is this causing my stomach pains? also what causes this, proton pumps? to redo surgery they need good show of refluxing on that darn ph test. i looked through my records and saw old endoscopy ,6yrs ago showing bile reflux into stomach, can this be my prob,and not showing on ph test? had gall out. now i also have vocal cord nodules since surgery. im going crazy. what to do next. i just stumbled on all this info by getting copy of my chart from my gastro doc who is the best here in philly, he's old school med and always in a hurry. i just want my life back. hope to hear your thoughts on this bags of worms.....helene
