Thanks for the info

I can see that classic symptoms such as sore throat, swallowing and the pressing chest pain may be esophagitis, however I'm not so sure about the pain arround and under the sternum. Its not a burning pain, instead I feel this pain when lifting, sneezing, coughing, bending over or leaning forward. A few half situps may kick off the pain for a whole week. Its impairing my ability to do simple chores. It feels better when I press my hand against the area for support.
