Please explain bile reflux

From: Michael

Comments

Can bile reflux shoot bile back into the stomach, causing inflammation, without the typical gallbladder pains. I have at least one good-sized gallbladder stones (and probably more smaller ones, including the sand-sized ones), but my doctors ruled out the gallbladder solely on the size of the gallbladder walls. Could the gallbladder reflux have brought about the initial attack of acid reflux (which I haven't been bothered by again for a good two months)? My appetite continues to be affected (radically), and I have a sort of mild "gnawing" feeling much of the time (except for when I take my Xanax at night, which seems to numb those feelings temporarily). Barium swallow, ultrasound, and colonoscopy showed no signs of tumours or polyps, just a hiatal hernia and the gallstone/stones. Negative on the Helicobactor Pylori test. I really don't want to do the endoscope, but I may have to. Should I try a general antibiotic like amoxicillin first, or maybe even carafate?
