I am having the EFT test tomorrow. I stopped taking my Prilosec yesterday, and by last night I hurt so bad I couldn't breathe. I broke down and took a Prilosec.Anyway, my question is this: how on earth am I going to endure 24 hours of non-stop acid?? I don't have occasional bouts. It is constant. All I can do is cry - and I have a pretty high pain tolerance! If anyone has any hints about how to get through this, I would love to hear them. Also, any tips on how not to gag? Thanks!! Angela

I had a lap nissen in August for atypical reflux -chronic sore thoat, hoarsness, chronic sinus infections and aspiration of stomach into lungs. I began having symptoms 4 months ago. After being treated for 4 months for a chronic sinus infection, they finally did another 24 hour ph study on me, which showed that again, I had acid reflux. I am back on prevacid - 2 30 mg. tablets a day. But, I am still having acid reflux. My family doctor recently added reglan for me to take. I am not optimistic. And I am starting to get desperate. Short of having a redo operation, which my surgeon doesn't think will help because everything is intact, does anyone have any other advice for me? Could I increase the prevacid I am taking or perhaps would another PPI work better for me than prevacid? Please help!!
