I had nissen fundo done twice, I can burp but it doesn't come out naturally. Also, I have difficulty vometing.

Dear SKK, So sorry to hear of your GERD troubles. I am an atypical patient, also. I had a lap nissen done in December of 1999, along with removal of my gallbladder. My only symptom has been a raging sore throat. I have never had any typical heartburn pain. Diflucan and Nystatin (oral suspension) really helped my throat pain. It seems I have yeast in my throat/esophagus. Perhaps you might ask your doctor about this. The only relief I have ever obtained has been when I take either of these medications in addition to cutting sugar out of my diet altogether. I will keep you in my prayers. Sarah K.
