The symptoms I had that made my gastro. dr. think I had a gallbladder problem were: I had a nagging pain on my right side in the area of my rib cage. Sometimes the pain is felt in my back just about shoulderblade level. Other times the pain radiates down my right side. I also had loose bowel movements several times a day, and they were yellow in color. The dr. told me that is a sign of a malfunctioning gallbladder. The only way to tell if your gallbladder isn't functioning properly is to have a HIDA scan with CCK. An ultrasound doesn't test function. I have also been told that I might have irritable bowel syndrome, so that is something else that I'll have to get checked out. Hope this info. helps you.
