No, don't get worried. I was wrong. It was irresponsible of me to write that. I looked it up, and actually, the ones which list hair loss as a side effect are the H2 blockers, particularly Tagamet. I wrote in "hair loss" and Prilosec (and Prevacid) on my favorite search engine, Google, and got the answers.

You may not like the flyaway thing, but if you ever stop taking it, it does calm down. But for us women, it's kind of a maddening side effect. I wish I had a medical answer of what is actually happening in the hair to cause a change in texture. I don't get it -- dryness?
