GERD & birth control pills

From: LPilot

Comments

Hi Christina - I developed my first GERD symptoms when I tried to return to birth control pills after being off them for a few years. At the time, I didn't think too much about it, but did discontinue my pills. The GERD disappeared. A few years later I tried again, with the same result. I quit the pills. After that I had no problems for about seven years ago when GERD appeared with a vengeance, not associated at all with the pill. I hope this doesn't happen to you. Of course, trying to find another birth control method is no picnic... I now have two children conceived while using the rhythm method! I can't recommend it :) - Lisa
