why is it when you take prevacid or prilosec that it does not stop your acid reflux from acting up. i have taken these pills when i am supposed to but i still get espisodes of rotten heartburn. i thought that when you take these ppi's it stop heartburn in its tracks. for some people it controls it but myself and others it does not. can you tell me why this happens? if meds don't work and nissen did nto work then what?
