I am two years post fundoplocation. I rarely, if ever burp, yet I have a tendancy to swollow air. I pass alot more gas than I did before the surgery. None of this is ever a problem to me...maybe to my wife. I have also not vomited, nor have I ever had the urge since the surgery. But, the results of surgery were so complete and so positive...who cares about this little problem if I feel like I did at age 19. The important thing is to get relief from the suffering, and I have achieved that.
