Large weight loss and reflux disappears?

Hi, I had a large drop in weight due to bad heartburn and reflux. Now that I am not eating much my reflux and heartburn has disappeared. Have you ever heard of this happening? Could it be less pressure on the stomach and les valve? I am now leaning towards not having the surgery or wait and see. Thanks
