Fundoplication and stomach pain

I am very confused about stomach pain and Fundoplication surgery. I always have stomach pain and infrequently it increases about 10x normal. Doctors say Fundoplication will relieve pain. Last time stomach pain flared a non gastro doctor said that stomach pain was combination of gerd and something to do with motility and the illeum(obstructed but needed non surgical intervention).doctor prescribed bowel rest and I.V. fluid. My question is will fundoplication relieve all the stomach pain or just my everyday pain. The doctors at the VA Hosp seem undecisive or unwilling to address stomach pain to my satisfaction. Both this post and last post related. I do have a 30% related disability rating through VA. That is why care is being conducted there. Thank you for all the help.
