terrible stomach pain

I have been having continuous burning, gnawing PAIN just below my ribcage in the middle (in the 'V') - I presume this is my stomach. Is it? Recently it has been with my almost constantly and is becoming difficult to bear. I have had reflux and stomach problems for years but it has gort worse recently. Recently had the manometry and pH 24-hour test which both revealed no major disfunction of the oesophegus. Prepulsid has helped a bit with the nausea in the mornings but it is the awful pain in my stomach that is distressing me most. What could it be? Could it be related to reflux, bile, gall bladder, or a motility problem. If it is a motility problem how long does it take before prepulsid starts taking effect. I've been taking it for about a week now. Also Prevacid 30mg per day. please help.
