Dr. Katkhouda: Am I correct in assuming that USC stands for Univ. of Southern California? If so, this presents a problem for me. Although my health insurance is a PPO rather than an HMO, I am located in North Carolina. Since I cannot travel such a great distance for help, is it possible to recommend medical help for me here in North Carolina? I am in the Charlotte area.

I am in a great deal of stress, both physical and emotional, due to my dilemna. What will happen to me if I continue with my current doctor's schedule of dilations using the rigid instruments?
