I may as well have been reading about myself when I read your note. I don't know if you go back to this board but PLEASE send me a note on your progress if you do-or anyone else who has the same problem. You can EMAIL ME ONLY at DebiSy@aol.com. Someone sent me this note so I have NO idea of how to get back to it! I had my gall bladder out 2 weeks ago. Before I did, I was getting attacks like you are describing. I had TERRIBLE pains that usually started in my neck and went to under my right breast and across my chest. I would try to burp and most times couldn't. The pain would intensify until I could burp. I would walk the floor crying and just wishing I could end it. After about an hour, I would finally get to burp and I'd feel better. Oh and I would have unbearable acid in my throat as well. I've been diagnosed with reflux. Up until the surgery I had been on Prilosec and was on FOUR a day. I really believed that when I had my gall bladder out this nightmare would STOP. You cannot imagine how terrible and confused I felt when I had 2 attacks and they were worse than the ones I had when I HAD my gall badder. So now the dr wants me to have an endoscope and I'm so incredibly scared to do it. I don't know how I can go throught with it-I really dont and I keep saying something will change and I won't have to do it. I cannot work up the courage for this.......... Is there someone else out there with this same problem??????????? I keep thinking that all I need is something to just relax my stomach and I'll be fine.......... Thanks, Debi
