My experience is that you will take one tagamet...then progress to two...then move to Prilosec (or similiar drugs) once a day..then two a day..them maybe Propulsid and etc. By this time you are in trouble. Drugs are, in most cases, not the long term solution. If you get better by diet, or drugs and have reduced your episodes of reflux..great. But if you find yourself incresasing drugs, diet fails....look for surgery as a great option. Read bumpiee's reply to you. I agree.
