According to Elizabeth Lipski, author of "Digestive Wellness", NSAIDs(non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) account for about 10% od duodenal ulcers, and cause gastritits. My gastro-doc confirmed the same. NSAIDs include aspirin, Tylenol, Motrin, and prescription pain killers. Other things that cause gastritis include antibiotics( such as those used in HPylori treatment) and cancer drugs.

Hope this helps.
