Purely a guess here! Sugary foods slow peristalsis down - the opposite effect that you probably want. And vinegar can be corrosive or at least irritating - it certainly is for me! My guess is that it would much better to use fresh ginger or really good ginger pills - perhaps "GingerAll" by Enzymatic Therapy.
