ON found it on the internet.I seems that when you change the ph of the stomach to the extent that a ppi does over a longer period of time[5 years or so] the stomach can get gastritis and some people would get something called atrophic gastritis. the articles that I read were clinical trail that were done to see what happens with long term use of ppi
