I know it is hard to find a good doctor, and it took me several trys with different doctors until I found one I am comfortable with. This doctor does not sound like he is taking you or your symptoms seriously. A Nissen Fundo can be done at the same time as a hiatal hernia repair, but they are for two different things. I would strongly urge you to find a new doctor and get another opinion. Make sure your insurance will allow you to make an appointment with a specialist without a referral from a family doctor, some will not.
