I have had a hiatal hernia for a while now. gawd it would make me suffer bad if I laid down after I ate. I have to sleep high up when I do sleep at night. It's to the point now that it hurts to eat anything. It hurts just to swallow..it feels like it is getting stuck in my throat so now I eat only soft foods like mash potatoes. I feel sorry for anyone that has this.
