When I first started with Gerd I would wake up every morning at 3:00 AM. After I started taking Prilosec this eventually stopped.

I found this post on a message board and a couple of interesting links for Gerd / Sleep Apnea.

"I too was suffering from GERD but had not gone to the doctor to be diagnosed or treated. However when I met with my doctor before my sleep study, he informed me that GERD is frequently a problem with sleep apnea. Since being diagnosed with sleep apnea and starting CPAP therapy I have not had a single episode since. Before CPAP therapy, I quite frequently was waking up at night and taking some type of over the counter medicine trying to relieve the symptoms of acid reflux."
