So how essential is it to see your surgeon again after the procedure? Has anyone had surgery and never gone back? Do you really need to be in the same room?
We skipped the usual 10-day appointment because the world was in such flux and it wasn't possible to fly up there. I have an appointment on Monday for the 8-week appointment (actually 7 weeks but who's counting). But since I've gone a few days without swallowing problems and have eaten all kinds of holiday chocolates without symptoms, I wonder if I really need to go up there, or if I could just maybe do it by telephone. Do they actually do any tests or anything if things seem to be going well?
