A real nut case. I went for my post op visit yestserday and naturally I felt better while there so hard to get across my concerns. One of the doctors that was in on my case spent a lot of time trying to explain to me that it might take 6 months for me to really get over this. It seems that I am one of those that has a lot of problems with the air passage part of this condition not the digestion as before the surgery. He wants to wait several months before I go back to the ent for the throat problems. After all my body has been messed up for years producing mucus to try and cover the acid damage going on. More production in head and throat means more irritation means more burning which is not heartburn or acid. It all made sense while I was there but today with the burning back I tend to get discouraged again. I know I must hang in there. You know what helps the most? sucking on halloween candy!!! He also said that I was way ahead of most on my diet and that I can eat anything I want as long as I don't eat too fast. He said there was no way it has come undone. I sure hope he is right. He even loved my tummy scratches... all is well in his opinion. Now, if only I can get well in my throat and head....I think there is a positive outlook for the throat and chest, the head is another thing....Happy candy eating....
