Flunked the Barium Swallow - now dialation, Help.

Hi gang. All this LES stretching talk has me rather nervous, especially in the face of the barium swallow test I had last week I flunked. Well, when the doctor's office called they said I was to come back in 3 weeks (that will make me 3 months post op) and the surgeon will discuss a dialation.

Has anyone had this done post fundo? How was it, what can I expect, what reasons should I not agree to do this and anything else anyone can offer thought wise I would appreciate.

I am still having trouble swallowing, and it was obvious on the test that the little barium tablet took quite a while to move into my stomach, and I was told I have a narrowing of the esophagus as it attaches to the stomach. And I was told by my surgeon that I essentially didn;'t even have a functioning LES - that anything I was swallowing was just going straight down, and then straight back up.

Currently when I eat solid foods I get very nauseated after I eat so I have gone back to soft foods and liquids and take Zofran.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
