My husband has been suffering from reflux, heartburn, ulcers, and now some bizzare undiagnosable problem that is causing bad pain, mainly at the sternum but also all over the belly area, and visible bloating after eating. The ulcer is gone, and he is taking Pantaloc for reflux, which helps a lot with the heartburn. I am wondering what you symptoms are and how they found out that you have gastroparesis, because when he had a gi series done at one point, it took so long for the barium to go through his system that my husband gave up and went home. After 6 hours, the barium still had not entered into his large intestine, and he figured he could be there for another day if he had to wait for it to go through all the way. Does this sound familiar? He also had a colonoscopy, which did not revel anything unusual, although we still haven't gotten results from the biopsies. I wish they knew what was wrong with hi,. He has seen about 4 or 5 gi doctors and they are trying, but they haven't figured much out yet about this pain. It is so hard for me to watch him suffer so much all the time.
