Hi Mary,
It is not only toxins that can affect nerve function but also low thyroid, high blood sugar rises, internal shingles, Lyme Disease, pernicious anemia (which is a vitamin B12 defficiency) etc. One point of interest is that Helicobacter infection can cause malabsorbtion of vitamin B12. Taking supplements without first proving a low B12 can hide the condition, leading to incorrect diagnosis.
The nerve toxins that you are referring to might be less of a factor than the other possible causes, but there are many who could profit from saying otherwise.
