I'm with Michael, the Sherry Rogers book does have a bunch of ideas on avoiding antibiotics if possible.

The only other point is to understand that h. pylori may not be causing your symptoms. Many people have h. pylori, but it doesn't cause any problems. Many experts recommend that eradication not be attempted unless there are symptoms. See this site for more information.

The thing that concerns me is that you have not described the "typical" h. pylori symptoms that would likely be helped by eradication. Now, I realize there is a language problem here (and your english is so much better than my Portuguese, believe me) so your troubles really could be caused by h. pylori.

But if your problems are due to candida or something, the antibiotics might make things even worse. Recent studies have shown that GERD symptoms are often worse after eradication.

So if you see another doctor, the key question should not be "Do I have h. pylori?" but rather "Are my particular symptoms likely to be caused by h. pylori?"
