I can't get over how willing people are to live in fantasy land. You are telling me that people promoting phoney cures for a real disease are OK as long as a few people "think" they're feeling better. Is it also Ok for these people to make money at this? That is just plain silly.
In true form though, you have presumed to get inside my head and make a diagnosis of my mental state. Typical, of the arrogance of these "happy feel good herbal people".
Which "top" GI in the country shrugged his shoulders and said "I don't know"? Not likely, but maybe it happened.
If I or someone has a hiatal hernia or a poor LES valve, and I get heartburn, people want to tout all kinds of strange remedies. Many are touting these remedies for a profit, notice that many include an email address or a website in the post, this usually means they are selling something. Some are just looking for validation for they're opinions as they are unable to deal with the facts. I dislocated my shoulder last summer, no one suggested that I take soy supplements and mint leaves in order to get it back in place, it got reset by a doctor. Physical problems need physical solutions. Period.
In closing, people are free to do whatever they want, but be aware that most of these holier than now herbal remedy people usually have some type of agenda.
