Endosinch is the keyword to research on this site and on the web in general for this procedure which basically is an endoscopic out-patient procedure which pleats the esophagus and stitches the pleats into place to narrow the LES. They also burn it in another procedure called STRETTA to cause scarring from the burning to narrow the LES and... there is a new injection procedure being done now which injects a substance around the LES to help tighten it. Some people on this board have had lousy results or essentially no help from the first two procedures and some hospitals have stopped doing them already. The third-mentioned injection procedure is also mentioned on this board (you may have to dip into the older archives to find it) as being trialed in Canada and USA at this time.
