Hey, I was in the same situation as you except for the fact that I could not prove I had reflux via the ph test, which came normal on two occasions. Of course, the problem I have is strange even on this board. I have nocturnal reflux, which does not burn all that much. ??? What I wanted to say to you is this... are you sure you have to have your galllbladder out. I think mine was taken for not much reason really. They saw little crystals on ultrasound, but when they took the gallbladder it had nothing in it - it just had a mild chronic inflammation. Which plenty of people live with and who knows - maybe it would have gotten better on its own. So try to make sure you need to get it out. I mean ultra sound right before the surgery. Had I done that - I would still have my gallbladder. I believe that I passed the crystals in April when I went to the e.r. with what seemed like pancreatitis.... and the crystals passed after a while. Well, that scared the heck out of me and every one said get rid of it. But now I have just about all the same symptoms all over again... back pain and all..
I am not saying don't get it out. But has it been proven to you beyond doubt that there is need for its removal.
