I have that symptom when I stop taking Prilosec 20mg a day. Generally it is after I eat a big meal. I have also talked to many people complaining of the same thing. It is unclear if it has something to do with the heart or it is some kind of esophageal spasm. A group of us contemplated wearing a heart monitor to see if the heart is actually being affected by the irritation to the esophagus or it is something else. I also had an Electrophyisologist interested in the project but due to fact that everyone did not live in the same place and we would need money to fund the research it really never got off the ground.
