I wore a cardiac event monitor for a week back in November when all my troubles started. Definitely had skipped beats, quite often. Started aciphex within same week, and as irritation and acid went down, so did palps. Doctor is sure, in her opinion, that reflux was the cause of the palpitations. They both occurred or started at the same time and went away together. Have had none since, except when I eat a larger meal than I should. She says acid in the esoph can irritate nerves causing heart to palp, over stimulus.
