They had me swallow this gooey stuff that numbed my throat, then injected the IV with demerol (sp?). I didnt think it was working then BAM! I was out, not all the way, but 99% asleep. I could hear them talking, I gagged a little when they pulled the scope out, and my throat hurts a little, all the way down.
It was MUCH, MUCH easier than I thought it would be, I would do it again with no worries, although I probably will never have to.
