Hi Hope. I had the surgery two years ago last October. It was about 6 weeks after the surgery that all the symptoms came back and I was just as miserable if not more than before I had the surgery. I went back to the surgeon and like you, they said that the wrap looked good and that they didn't think by doing the surgery again I would get any more benefit. I went back to my gastrologist and started to take meds again until we could get me under control. Finally... I can honestly say I am better. I almost never have to take any meds! THere are certain foods I have to avoid, I never drink caffeine, or any carbonated beverages. As soon as I do, I am miserable. ALso, I noticed that if I eat a higher protein diet I do a lot better and have less heartburn. The only problem I have going for me now, is it is really difficult for me to keep weight off, as I feel like I always have to have something in my stomach. I find that excercising really helps with the heartburn episodes too. SInce, the surgery I can hoestly say that I am finally feeling much better. It took me about 8 months to a year before I acheived this though.
