I have been nauseous every day of my life for over 14 straight months now (it was occasional prior to that) and my nausea is worse on an empty stomach when the acid flies up easier...... when I eat, I regurgitate both food and stomach fluids so there is nausea but not as severe unless the food is a high fat food which I quickly learned over a year ago to give up all together. I now live on about 5 foods total that's it but still all the life alterations does not stop the constant burning and nausea and gagging and neither can the doctors. I think I will ask more assertively for some regular anti-nausea meds as the only kind I was given so far was the metaclopramide kind to rush the food thru the stomach faster but, as I mentioned that does not help me cuz I am worse on empty stomach. Have you asked your doctor about nausea meds? Have you tried the pro-kinetic or food rushing kinds? Some people do have more nausea with a full stomach and for them that type of med might work... but for me, I have nausea from my esophagus as well as stomach and upper right quadrant (digestive organs) every day and they can't do anything about it. It is literally disabling as I cant work or leave the house to even go to the store doubled over and green and it keeps me awake and just really suffering along with the pain and gagging and impaired breathing. Anyway I hope you get some better answers, I am seeing the GI doc if I can make it TO the doctor tomorrow........ some times I leave the house and get in the car and the nausea is so severe I have to turn around and cancel even doctors appointments...... I dont mean to sound hopeless but after 14 straight months of being immobilized like this every hour of every day, I am just in total dejection.
