Margie,
You must have read my mind. My first reflux incidents were about 5-6 years ago and I was given an ultrasound which was negative. Then it flared up again around a year and a half again and again I had some nausea. At that time I had a CT which was negative. I went through a stretta last summer and still experienced some nausea, especially after fatty foods (no vomitting, but some regurgitation into the esophagous). Anyway, I just recently had an ultrasound (negative) and a HIDA scan which was positive. Go figure. I guess the big moral of the story is, just because an ultrasound is negative, doesn't mean no gall bladder disease. The big clue i think is the fatty foods bit which is more indicative of gall bladder disease than reflux. Although, as people have indicated CCK which is released in order to stimulate gall bladder emptying is also indicated in relaxation of the LES.
