Hi..

In some cases you are better off seeing a GP with a good track record in treating Helicobacter than a gastro with a hidden agenda. Follow the money.

The blood test must not be repeated too soon after the triple therapy. About six months is usually sufficient to show a sizeable drop in the titre. This is considered a success, since the remnants take a long time to subside. I assume that you did have a positive HP blood test?

Don't forget that the infection can be transmitted in saliva, so your mate should also be treated or you can be reinfected soon after the therapy.

Go to drmirkin.com and search for helicobacter. You do need another opinion or a doctor who will at least consider the options.

Good luck.... Ron
