Thanks, Hawk. Actually the first symptoms I had were coughing and wheezing. I could sometimes barely talk. That was before I was diagnosed--even tentatively, and later more definitively with GERD, a large hiatal hernia, etc. I generally think Prevacid keeps my symptoms under control, but I do wonder when I have experiences like last night's, whether I usually just have lesser problems at night that I might not notice. I did notice mention of the BedZup wedge and will now go do a search for that. I will compare that with the Comfort Wedge, which looked like a possibility.
